Kuka 6 Axis with 7th Axis Table With Fusion 360

#1
Hi Everyone,

I am not sure if this is the proper approach, but I am trying to build a machine in Fusion 360 that has all 6 axis of movement on the head, and then 1 axis that rotates as a table. I am assuming this is how you get RoboDK to understand 5 axis APT files.

I can work in 3-axis just using the generic Autodesk 3 axis machine, but have not had any other luck with their other 5-axis machines.

Would any of you have a machine already setup for this?

Please LMK,

Mike

You should model the robots and mechanisms in RoboDK by selecting Utilities-Model Mechanism or Robot. You can find more information here:
https://robodk.com/doc/en/General.html#ModelRobot

You can also look for your robot and external axes in our library:
https://robodk.com/library

For manufacturing applications that require CAM features such as robot machining you can use any generic 5-axis CNC in Autodesk Fusion 360 and RoboDK will receive the machining operations (it uses the default APT post processor behind the scenes).
